Releasing Aug 22, 2017
Loveswept

The Bachelor meets The Runaway Bride in this addictive romance novel about a reality TV producer falling for her would-be star: a Montana heartthrob who wants nothing to do with the show.

Jordan Carpenter thinks she’s finally found the perfect candidate for Jilted, a new dating show about runaway grooms: Luke Elliott, a playboy firefighter who’s left not one but three brides at the altar. The only problem? Luke refuses to answer Jordan’s emails or return her calls. Which is how she ends up on a flight to Montana to recruit him in person. It’s not Manhattan but at least the locals in Lucky Hollow seem friendly . . . except for Luke, who’s more intense—and way hotter—than the slick womanizer Jordan expected.

Eager to put the past behind him, Luke has zero intention of following this gorgeous, fast-talking city girl back to New York. But before he can send her packing, Jordan’s everywhere: at his favorite bar, the county fair, even his exes’ book club. Annoyingly, everyone in Lucky Hollow seems to like her—and deep down, she’s starting to grow on him too. But the more he fights her constant pestering, the more Luke finds himself wishing that Jordan would kick off her high heels and make herself comfortable in his arms.

Heart of Gold: A Mountain Man's Valentine (The Mountain Man, #4)

Review: Heart of Gold - Frankie Love - February 2017

For the past three years, Samson has been busy living his life up in the mountains as he feels that he cannot be loved by everyone who loves him ends up in ruins. The other thing that nobody realizes about Samson is that he is a Mountain Billionaire after striking it rich with the gold mines. He has come down from his cabin the mountains to the mainland as his brother Taylor is getting married to Sophia. Taylor and Sophia are both lawyers and living the professional life. While at the party, Samson meets Ava Grace - Sophia's sister - she is free-spirited, artistic and as he is about to discover his perfect match.  After a one night stand, Samson has to go back home early and leaves Ava. While back home, he discovers he wants more of her so starts up a secret email exchange aka HeartofGold. What will happen though when Ava starts to fall for HeartOfGold and due to circumstances, Samson can't hold up his end of the deal. Can Samson win the heart of Ava especially since her walls are up and she's hurting? What will Samson do to woo Ava and win the heart of a true romantic? I loved this story as I too am a romantic at heart and felt a kindred spirit with Ava Grace and I want a Samson of my own.  If you love true romance stories of love with misguided actions but get there, in the end, the Heart of Gold is the perfect story for you.

A Thousand Letters

Review: A Thousand Letters - Staci Hart - February 2017

One of my favorite authors is Staci Hart, and when I read that she had a book out, I knew I had to read it. I got even more excited when I discovered that it was to be a modern rendition of Jane Austen's Persuasion as another favorite trope of mine is renditions, and Austen inspired fiction. In A Thousand Letters, we meet Elliott who was in love with her next door neighbor Wyatt. The pair were going to get married and live happily ever after. Elliott's family weren't supportive one bit, and she sadly chose her family over Wyatt. This broke not only Elliott's heart but also Wyatt's. He went off to the military and never looked back whereas Elliott stayed home and went on to help her family out. I hated Elliott's family as they treat her like a doormat, but I do like it in the end when she finally gets the guts to tell her family to f__k them all. During the novel, seven years have passed, and Wyatt's dad who was more like a parent to Elliott is dying, and so Wyatt returns home. Of course, there is still strong pain radiating off both Wyatt and Elliott. Can the pair work through their issues and in the time of grief discover that their love for one another is still strong and that life can be fleeting?  As a fan of Austen's work, I did love reading the comparison between A Thousand Letters and Persuasion and reading Staci Hart's take on the classic novel as Persuasion is one of Austen's lesser famous works as most renditions tend to be Pride and Prejudice, Emma or Sense and Sensibility.

Review: Mr Right Now - Lila Monroe

Mr Right-Now

Review: Mr Right Now - Lila Monroe - July 2017

After finishing The Wild by K.Webster, I decided that I needed something a bit more light-hearted so went with Lila Monroe's Mr. Right Now as I knew Lila Monroe would make me giggle. Maggie is nearing her thirties and living back home with her parents in the small town that she grew up in with her tail hanging in-between her legs. Maggie had dreams of making it big in New York with her cakes and her dream of opening a bakery and was doing well until Sunny - a former baking reality TV star decided to open her bakery just down the road from Maggie's and steal all her clients and customers as who wants to go to a nobody when they can get their baked goods from a celebrity wannabe.  One of Maggie's specialties is cakes and weird and wacky is her middle name. When one of the jobs turns out to be a mistake as she thought it was a bachelorette party, not an upscale engagement, she is left with a 40 inch cock cake complete with squirting semen icing and to make it worst she is now in the company of her childhood crush and next door neighbour - Drew Delaney. Growing up Drew was part of a boy band in the 90's a bit like One Direction or Big Time Rush. One thing leads to another and Drew, and Maggie hit it off and starting dating and trying to make up for lost time. However what will happen when both Drew and Maggie are given an opportunity that will revitalize both their careers, even though it will separate them - will they take it as Drew was just a Mr. Right Now or will Maggie discover that she wants to be Drew to her Mr. Forever and not a Mr. Right Now? Find out in this fun romantic comedy by Lila Monroe which contains cock cakes, laughs, romance and 90's pop references.
